The struggle is real

So the urgent care doctor I saw about a month ago suggested to me cutting out dairy and gluten one at a time. Thus where I got the idea from for this lifestyle. Dairy has been the hardest I loooove cheese and sour cream the most. Eating baked potatoes I really miss my sour cream. So one reason this change has been a struggle. I live with my husband and my 9 year old son. With this lifestyle change my husband has also been trying to improve himself as well. He has given up eating candy except the occasional sugar free or gum. Plus he has stopped drinking soda on a daily basis. I’m beyond proud of him. Plus both of us have been walking him more then me right now. He usually does 2-5 miles depending how hot it is. Me on the other hand because my asthma and other issues I’ve only been doing one mile hoping to increase it to two miles.  Finding thing to eat has been rough mostly because I try to find things we all can eat not just me. Beginning of my journey

My whole dairy and gluten free journey started with several visits to the ER. I was suffering from horrible unexplainable stomach pain. My stomach was always bloated and I had never ending gas. (More times then not the gas was super embarrassing.) The muscles in my stomach was rigid and after everything I was at a loss. One doctor said take this magnesium drink cause I think ur just stopped up. The next ER doc gave me gabapentin he believed the pain was all from my back. (This was partly true as I discovered later when I stopped the meds for three days. I ended up in horrible pain this was depressing.) So one day I ended up going to a urgent care because of my stomach and where the doc suggested going dairy and gluten free.  I have always had issues with dairy a little. Milk and ice cream I never have tolerated well. Gluten that’s something that never occurred to me. For two weeks I stopped dairy but still continued the gluten.
