The struggle is real
So the urgent care doctor I saw about a month ago suggested to me cutting out dairy and gluten one at a time. Thus where I got the idea from for this lifestyle. Dairy has been the hardest I loooove cheese and sour cream the most. Eating baked potatoes I really miss my sour cream. So one reason this change has been a struggle.
I live with my husband and my 9 year old son. With this lifestyle change my husband has also been trying to improve himself as well. He has given up eating candy except the occasional sugar free or gum. Plus he has stopped drinking soda on a daily basis. I’m beyond proud of him. Plus both of us have been walking him more then me right now. He usually does 2-5 miles depending how hot it is. Me on the other hand because my asthma and other issues I’ve only been doing one mile hoping to increase it to two miles.
Finding thing to eat has been rough mostly because I try to find things we all can eat not just me. Most of the time it’s a simple change others I just find something else or make a really big salad. One of the things that has helped is I joined a Facebook group. It’s for df/ gf people and we share recipes and talk about our issues or just vent about our gf/df life. Ive gotten a lot of good ideas from there.
This whole change has been crazy. Over 3 months I’ve seen 10 different doctors and now take 22 pills a day. Doing pretty good so far with this change. I have found some pretty good recipes. Made a Korean drumsticks the other day and today I made spicy honey wings. I’m gonna try and make sour cream with cashews.
